CBSE 12th result 2020 highlights: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the result for class 12 examination today morning. The students can check their result at the official websites - results.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in and cbse.nic.in. However, many students are complaining that the websites are down and even the Umang app is not functioning. A total of 10.59 lakh (10,59,080) students cleared the class 12 exam with a pass percentage of 88.78 per cent. The pass percentage improved from the last year. In 2019, 83.40 per cent students had passed class 12 exams. Gender-wise, girls have outperformed boys with 92.15 per cent, while the pass percentage of boys was 86.19 per cent. The pass percentage of transgender students is 66.67 per cent. In his tweet, the minister wrote, "Dear Students, Parents, and Teachers! CBSE has announced the results of Class XII and can be accessed at cbseresults.nic.in. We congratulate you all for making this possible. I reiterate student's health & quality education are our priority." In the case of students who have appeared for more than three subjects, the ‘average of the best three performing subjects’ will be awarded for subjects for which the exam could not be held. For students who have appeared in exams in only three subjects, the average of marks obtained in ‘best two performing subjects’ will be awarded for papers for which exam was not held.
